Lucid Dream - Crossing Boundaries of Creators is a book that tells the stories of ten creators—graphic designers, architects, interaction designers, and more—who defy boundaries with diverse perspectives in their respective fields. Beyond the conventional designs and architecture that we commonly define, these ten creators silently work across different domains. We have compiled their authentic interviews and works, aiming to explore their thought processes and reasons for occupying the positions at the boundaries through these ten individuals. Representing the current trend of freelancers, we believe some readers share similar thoughts and intentions somewhere, and we seek to provide empathy or insights. Excerpt from the Book In this text, the activities of these creators, whom we call 'design creators' and 'planners,' are referred to as 'architects dealing with design culture,' 'designers at the intersection of art,' 'architects writing,' and 'interaction designers handling cities,' among others, placing them in ambiguous and uncivilized positions at the boundaries. They are sometimes invited with different backgrounds as designers, writers, architects, artists, multidisciplinary artists, etc. This returning activity may represent the trend of freelancers at this moment and become new occupations and fresh work.

This book is based on interviews conducted through various means. We met ten creators who navigate various fields beyond design and architecture. Starting from the summer of 2020 until the winter of 2021, over 1.5 years, we met them several times in-depth, questioning their lives beyond boundaries and their positions. Then, in spring 2022, a year later, we asked once again what they could refer to themselves as now.

이 책은 여러 경위로 진행된 인터뷰를 기초로 한다. 디자인, 건축을 중심으로 다양한 영역을 넘나들며 살아가 는 창작자 열 명을 만났다. 2020년 여름을 시작으로 2021년 겨울까지 1.5년에 걸쳐 두세 차례 그들을 본격 적으로 만나가며 경계를 넘는 삶과 그들의 포지션에 대해 질문했다. 그리고 2022년 봄. 한 해가 지난 시점에 서 현재는 본인을 무엇이라 지칭할 수 있는지 다시 한번 물었다.
